Artist's Comments

I liked the Danny, so I had to make a Tucker.

I liked the colors on this, actually, and it set a bit of a precendent for robe design... Hmm, I could use that in the fanfiction I'm not writing.

I agree. Excellent border styling. And the feather--well, there you go.

What it boils down to is professional modeling means getting paid to overreact to stuff like rice cakes and new shoes. (Invisible Monsters, Palahniuk)

Hee, and he's still got the hat! Too bad he's tech-less though. I'm sure he'd miss it in that fic you're not writing ;P

The feather just seemed to suit him. It's actually one of those neato quill pens. Tucker strikes me as the time to store pencils and other writing utensils behind his ear. I guess quills count, too! :giggle:

The hat is Tucker's trademark. Not drawing Tucker of ANY version without the hat would be like drawing Sam in pink or Danny in some bizarrely different not-black-and-white uniform.

Techlessness... I'm not sure, but I think I'll just have technology exist in the world. Everybody just can do magic, too. And it's not very helpful, really, since most spells aren't long term, and it takes a lot of energy to be able to do even simple ones. Or at least, that's what the plotbunnies are telling me. Oh, but he DOES have to deal with not having tech at the school they all go to, because it's a sort of magical hot-spot, and technology and magic don't mix--they tend to mess with each other. But it's only in high-concentration areas of magic that it's a real problem, or if you're doing a really delicate spell. Tuck still smuggles it in, though--gets him into a lot of trouble, but he spends most of his time trying to figure out a way to make magic and technology more compatible.

The worldbuilding plotbunnies are having a reaaaally good time with this.

Aw, thanks. :blushes: I've had a lot of practice, and I've recently aquired a set of Prismacolor pencils, which make shading a lot nicer than Roseart and Crayola pencils. :XD:
