Got a picture colored in. I was gonna do this on the computer, but this one came out rather nice. Particularly for me, since I'm hopeless at best when attempting to shade with colored pencils.

Wow, he looks great. Awesome job, Penguin! (Is it allright if I call you by that name, or should I call you Enigmaticpenguin here?) I love all the details you've put in. (his blue eyes, his hair, I really like the look of his ears and paws.

Beautiful work!

heh-heh, that looks so like Danny. Isn't it funny, how well Danny can pull off the badger look. Vlad sure has an odd but clever mind. Anyways, very nice drawing; I love the eyes and yes, the coloring came out wonderfully. You're not hopeless at it; that would be me. I can't even color without getting out of the lines! Dead serious...there has to be something wrong with that... *shrugs* Oh, compliments on the hair too. You do Danny's hair very well and I've heard alot of people say it is hard to draw so you must be happy that you can. Thanks a bundle, Penguin; I should get the next chapter up tonight....got a bit behind but I'm catching up!

P.S. I sent you an email....a week or so ago. Did ya read it?

I think it's an excellent name for him, even if it DID come from Vlad...:laughing: as noble and wonderful animals go, you could do far worse than a badger! I like how you've drawn him here.

Yes, Penguin's fine. Lotsa people call me that. I used to go by Eppie on fanfiction.net under this same name, too, 'cause I had a habit of signing everything as "E.P." Eventually I started pronouncing it in my head as a whole word, and it became Eppie.

Anyway, thanks! I like drawing small rodents, mice and the like, so I've had plenty of experience with ears and paws and all that. His hair is just...'cause...he isn't Danny without the hair. ;)

You know...if you look closely at the edges...you'll find I missed some of the lines. ^^;

YES, Danny's hair is FLIPPIN' HARD TO DRAW!! It took me FOREVER to get it looking right, and I can still rarely get it on the first try...usually requires a lot of erasing. I did manage to get this one on the first try, which is a very good thing, 'cause I drew it in pen before I realized I might need a pencil. A few places where an eraser might have helped, but other than that I surprised myself in a lot of ways. I say Danny makes a lucky badger.

E-mail...er, I think I saw it, just didn't have time to reply. Dang it, can't even remember what it's about now. I'm kind of half-moving to a new e-mail address, actually, 'cause AOL sucks and I want to ditch it. Maybe try enigmaticpenguin@hotmail.com now? I check them about as often, but I've been signing up for everything as the hotmail one. I just need to remember to switch over DA and ff.net and all that, and make sure all my friends know I've switched, and all those darned college e-mail's'll be sent to a dead account.

'Bout a fifth done with your chapter, BTW. I've been rather annoyingly busy lately and I need to finish A Tale of Two Cities by Friday, but as soon as I'm done taking care of DA business I'll get on that. Give it a few good hours, I can do it, fine. Plus, my parents aren't here to kick me off. ;P

Heh. Makes me think of Redwall every time I draw him. Species is a Burmese Ferret Badger--kind of an ironic name, all things considered. Did you know, I used to have this wild plotbunny of turning Danny into a mouse and somehow or other getting him stuck in that world...idea kinda died, though.

Well, he did adapt well to being tiny in MM!

I love that badgers and ferrets are related; it shows somehow in their faces.
